Domestic Violence and Deafness

People with hearing loss are at higher risk of being long-term victims of domestic violence and sexual assault due to the lack of accessible services. While their issues are the same as the mainstream population, they frequently encounter communication and technical barriers when seeking services. This often leads to these victims returning to their abuser or remaining untreated.
